Owner Eric Saniuk, a former carpenter, traded his tool belt for a fryer basket, taking over the former Shawarma Khan location at 392 Graham Ave and building a focused concept around bold spice, crispy chicken and approachable service.
Our menu centres on Nashville-style hot fried chicken sandwiches and chicken fingers, with heat levels running from spiceless to extreme. Signature builds like the Gochujang Blaze Sando layer aioli, pickles, kimchi and house-made sauces over crispy chicken on soft potato buns.
We believe in serving up more than spicy chicken — we’re a downtown gathering spot. From office lunches and pre-game meals to late-day cravings, our casual counter-service shack welcomes dine-in, takeout, pickup and phone orders across downtown Winnipeg.

Best hot chicken I’ve had in Winnipeg. The sandwich was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside, and the spice level was exactly what I asked for. Staff were friendly and walked me through the different heat options.
Amazing lunch spot downtown. Portions are big, prices are fair, and the chicken stays crispy even when I take it back to the office. I’ve tried a few sandwiches and every one has been consistently good.
Grabbed food here before a game and it hit the spot. The hot chicken sandwich had great flavour, not just heat, and the pickles and slaw balanced it perfectly. Fast service even with a busy lineup.
If you like spicy food, this is a must-visit. They have multiple heat levels and the higher ones definitely deliver. The staff warned me about the heat and they weren’t kidding, but the taste is still excellent.
Tried Blazing Chicken Shack for the first time and was impressed. Clean, casual space, straightforward menu, and the chicken sandwich was one of the best I’ve had in the city. I’ll be back to try the Hot Honey Wafflewich next time.
